In 2022, Cecil Road brought in the Reading Champions, two children from each class that celebrate and support reading in their classes. 

Our new ‘Reading Champions’, at Cecil Road, have begun this year with great resolve as they begin to share their love for reading and helping other children around the school choose and enjoy books.
They are excited and ready for the challenges of the Book Swap Trolley, World Book Day, class book corners and more.

Wearing their badges with pride around the school – if you spot them, stop and ask what their favourite book is and why or maybe ask for a recommendation. Remember -
